After first appearing on the A4 from 2009, the Allroad quattro will return on the latest version, with its tougher, all-terrain stance.
Based on the award-winning A4’s estate version, the Avant, this Allroad certainly has a good base to go from and is incredibly practical.
The crucial feature on the Allroad is the renowned quattro four-wheel drive system, which is fitted as standard on all versions of the Allroad.
Already capable enough off-road, where the Allroad scores over the regular Avant is a 6cm ride height increase. Along with added protective bodywork to the underside of the car, it looks like an ‘allroader’ as well.
These adjustments mean that the A4 Allroad is comfortable on the road and just as adept on more challenging terrain - perfectly suited to both worlds.
Available with either petrol or diesel engines, from the 2.0 TDI and 2.0 TFSI through to the 3.0 TDI V6, with power outputs up to 27hp higher than the previous Allroad. The full range of Audi’s transmission systems are available to the Allroad, which includes the 6-speed manual, the S-tronic seven-speed automatic and the eight-speed tiptronic auto - available for the first time in this model and paired to the 272hp 3.0 V6 diesel.
On the inside, the Avant-derived A4 Allroad is just as spacious as you'd expect and is finished in to the same high standard as the rest of the A4 range. There's a high level od standard equipment on hand too, including Audi’s latest safety features, such as park assist, exit warning and collision avoidance assist systems. Audi's new 12.3-inch virtual cockpit can also be selected as an option, along with Matrix LED headlights.
Although prices are yet to be confirmed for the A4 Allroad, it's due to go on sale in summer 2016. For more information on the A4 range, please click here: https://www.inchcapeaudi.co.uk/cars/audi-range/a4/
