Audi A5 2016

The A5 Coupe is one of Audi’s most stylish vehicles and a pair of brand new cars continue the trend of this great design ethos.

With a superb low drag body that has aerodynamic optimisation in mind, the new series has a 60kg weight reduction on the previous model and with the latest range of TFSI and TDI engines, infotainment systems and driver assistance systems, the A5 Coupe range brings the cutting edge ideology that Audi always want to convey.

Ranging from 190PS to 286PS for the A5 Coupe engines, the new set uses as much as 22 per cent less fuel than the previous model’s and offers a great power output and smooth running. For the S5 Coupe, Audi has improved the sporty engines even further, with the turbo V6 producing high levels of performance, great efficiency and a higher power output of 354PS, 21PS up from the previous version.

Available with either front or all-wheel drive, the all-new chassis has been designed to be highly agile, and with Audi drive select, you can choose how to set up your Coupe how you want to. With the optional damper control suspension, you will get the right feel and performance you’re looking for. Electromechanical power steering provides precise feedback, whilst the optional Dynamic Steering varies the gear ratio depending on the speed and angle of the steering.

With a superbly well-fitted interior that is both spacious and comfortable, the A5 Coupe is adaptable too, with the rear seats able to fold down and provide more space for the luggage compartment. Also with the latest in Audi’s MMI navigation and Virtual Cockpit design, you will have all the information and tools very close to hand. Connectivity is also very simple in the A5 series, with a SIM card permanently installed for ultra fast Internet to keep you to date and mobile phone compatibility with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Driver assist systems also abound, all helping in the development of autonomous piloted driving in the future. Predictive efficiency assistant helps the driver save fuel, whilst active lane assist helps keep the car in-line on the road. As well as park assist, rear cross traffic assist and collision avoidance assist, Stop&Go adaptive cruise control will make sure you have help during traffic jams and slow moving traffic.

The new A5 and S5 Coupes will be launching in winter 2016 and to stay up to date with any developments, contact your nearest Inchcape Audi centre.
