The need to consume information on the move is becoming more important to motorists as technology advances.
The latest introduction to the Audi technology line-up aims to give drivers the information they need in a concise and clear way.
The Audi Virtual Cockpit is a replacement for the conventional dial system that has been part of a car’s setup for decades, and uses the instrument binnacle behind the wheel to install a 12.3-inch display that gives all the important statistics, screens and updates that any driver will ever need.
Coming with two modes – Classic mode and Infotainment mode – you will have the relevant information in four sectors: driving information, media and on-demand information, communication, and navigation. The time, mileage, outside temperature and warning symbols are always present on the bottom bar.
You can also use the screen with Audi Connect to show traffic updates, fuel prices and other key information to ensure you are continually up to date throughout your journey.
With 3D graphics to impress whilst using the navigation application – thanks to an Nvidia quadcore graphics card – and easy-to-use controls, which come in the form of the voice control system, MMI dial or the multifunction steering wheel, the virtual cockpit is a step forward in in-car infotainment.
Already fitted to over 20 Audi models, the Virtual Cockpit is becoming more widespread in the range and will soon become a regular fixture in the interior of most vehicles.
