Audi at Geneva Motor Show 2016The Geneva Motor Show has been a staple for the car industry since its first show in 1905, with car manufacturers showing off their latest models, concepts and technologies.
In the 2016 edition of the event, Audi was introduced a brand new model to the range, offering further adaptability to the Audi brand.
The Q2 is a new piece in the Audi’s ‘Q’ range of SUVs and is the smallest model in the range. With its coupé styling and compact body, the distinctive look of the Q2 helps to make it one of the most exciting cars coming to the market.
With the coupé styling, you get the advantage of a sleek design and with its SUV base, you have a raised driving position meaning you get a better view of the road ahead.
To aid you on the road, the Q2 is fitted with Audi’s latest driver assistance systems that are usually fitted to the larger vehicles in the Audi range, such as the Audi Pre Sense Front that helps to recognise pedestrians crossing in front of the vehicle and then apply the brakes, Other features include traffic jam assist, lane departure warning and Stop & Go function to help save fuel.
As an SUV, it remains very functional, thanks to the large luggage compartment and plenty of space in the rear seat area, which if folded down can more than double the luggage space in the back.
With various packages and colours available, the customer can be as creative with internal features and external design as they want, such as the internal LED lights package, and the chance to upgrade the 17-inch alloy wheels to 19-inch options.
The Q2 comes with the choice of five different engines varying from the smallest 1.0-litre three-cylinder TFSI petrol to the 2.0-litre diesel, showing variety in the Q2 range.
This new model will go on sale in July, with deliveries beginning in November.
Also shown off were new additions to existing ranges, such as the Q3 RS performance, the RS6 Avant performance and the RS7 Sportback performance, which - as the name might suggest - turn the wick up on already potent models.
A further addition to the Audi range shown at Geneva is the S4 Avant, a sporty estate that will combine practicality, speed and comfort to help make one of the most exciting estate cars on the market.
