The all new Audi Q7 recently revealed at the Detroit Motor Show, is a welcome addition to Audi’s SUV range.
The 2015 Q7 provides a luxurious interior with enough passenger space to seat seven, plus with the new model being lighter, smaller, and cheaper than ever, it is certain that executives at Range Rover will be watching the sales figures closely.
Whilst the 3.0 litre V6 diesel engine offering up to 268bhp is the only initial offering in the UK, Audi will soon be delivering a lower powered version, likely with 216bhp, later this year. Following on from that will be the much anticipated Q7 e-tron plug in hybrid, likely arriving into 2016.
The deluxe SUV is set to get from 0-62mph in a time of just 6.3 seconds, with an impressive 146mph top speed. However, the Q7 will run at around 47.8mpg if driven conservatively, with a matching 153g/km of CO2
Don’t be fooled by the decrease in size, the new Q7 actually delivers more space within an interior that is also far more advanced compared than the outgoing model.
Style is certainly key when it comes to Audi’s high standard Q7, all seats have been finished in stunning twin leather, and aiming to be more functional than ever, the back row can now be power folded for when they’re not in use. The interior has been fully improved with the previous main instruments replaced with a 12.3” TFT display, along with Audi’s MMI Nav Plus feature with MMI Touch and trial access to Audi Connect which allows you to receive 4G internet access and can create a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Audi’s impressive Q7 is set to go on sale within UK dealerships from April 2015.
