Flexibility and convenience in the Audi Q3 concert radio system

Standard across the Q3 range the Concert Radio features a 6.5" QVGA manually retractable display screen, Single CD player (with MP3, WMA & AAC file playback functionality) and SD memory card reader.

All of the cars audio and communications controls, including telephone, radio, CD and audio are controlled through the MMI control system on the centre console and the 6.5" display.

The HDD satellite navigation and entertainment system is just one example of innovative technology available on the Audi Q3. This system includes:

  • 2D and 3D map display for navigation

  • Voice control which allows whole-word inputs

  • Complete navigation address input in one single command

  • 7 Digit postcode entry

  • Wireless music streaming from compatible mobile phone to the car's audio system

  • 20GB hard drive jukebox

  • Playback of compatible video files

Bose

Sound; beautifully delivered

The BOSE Speaker System option for the Audi Q3 includes 14 high-performance speakers, subwoofer and centre speaker. 10-channel DSP amplifier with a total output of 465 watts. 5.1 surround sound reproduction possible when playing DVD's through HDD navigation. Reproduction of stereo sources (CD, Mp3, radio) in surround mode. Speaker grilles in an exclusive design with bevelled surround and indirect lighting for the woofers on the front doors.

Audi Music Interface: your music goes with you

A very wide range of portable music devices can integrate with the Audi Q3 via the optional Audi Music Interface. Once installed, they can be controlled with the Multi Media Interface (MMI) or multifunction steering wheel. Supported devices include USB memory sticks, portable hard discs, mobile phones, and Apple iPods - even portable cassette players.

And it's not just the audio signal that's transmitted. With compatible devices, detailed track information is displayed.

Your own personal jukebox

If you have chosen the HDD-based Satellite Navigation system, the good news is you don't actually have to take any of these things with you. Simply download, via CDs, USB sticks or SD memory cards up to 4,000 music tracks on to its hard drive and create your own personal jukebox. A handy feature that we're sure will appeal to all music loving motorists!

Online Services

Your wireless hotspot

The Audi Q3 can be specified with Mobile phone preparation - high with online services which makes data transfer possible. Current news topics and weather reports can then be downloaded to the car, even when you're on the move.

This service includes a high-speed, UMTS module which will provide three-dimensional satellite and aerial images, as well as photos and information from Google Earth to the navigation system.

This also allows a full-scale internet connection, making the Audi Q3 a rolling Wi-Fi hotspot. Laptop users will could even connect to the internet on the move and even stream their music to the car's audio system via the wireless network.

Gone are the days of wireless mobile dongles - this data connection will require no additional fees or contracts.*

* - Data connection and transfer costs are charged via the mobile telephone contract for the user's SIM card as per an Internet connection with the mobile telephone - these costs will be dependant on the user's mobile telephone contract. Audi recommends using an unlimited data package.

Bluetooth

Keeping your hands on the wheel

A built in Bluetooth interface is available as standard on the Audi Q3. Firstly this option provides a Bluetooth connection for your mobile phone. This means that your phone can be operated using the multifunction steering wheel in conjunction with the driver information system.

In addition to standard hands-free functionality such as accepting/rejecting calls and hands-free communication, mobile phone preparation provides direct access to entries and phone numbers stored in the address book of compatible phones.

Secondly, the Bluetooth interface also enables audio streaming on compatible devices so that you can play your music through your Q3's audio system without needing a wired connection.
