Seating
The Audi A8's extensive range of seat versions, upholstery and options are unequalled in any other Audi, or indeed in the entire luxury class. The highly diverse options make a clear statement about the quality of this exceptional car.

For example, there are three seat options for the front and two for the rear.

The standard front seats are by no means 'standard', being electrically adjustable 14-ways, heated and featuring a memory function for both driver and passenger. The driver's memory function also stores the door mirror and steering wheel settings. They are available in three colours; Black, Titanium Grey and Velvet beige.

Comfort seats add to this 22 way electrical adjustment and a range of five colours and three different kinds of leather; Valcona leather, Natural leather and Valonea. You will also be able to take advantage of a raft of comfort orientated features, such as a massage function or seat ventilation, both available as options for the front and rear seats. In addition to this the rear seats can be individually adjusted electronically.

The comfort sports seats add a distinctive stitched diamond design and the option of a Valcona leather and Alcantara upholstery option.

Being Driven
Feel-good atmosphere at every seat
Being driven in an A8 is as much of an occasion as driving one.

The rear compartment of the Audi A8 redefines the benchmark for comfort and luxury, giving each rear occupant complete control over their surroundings. Passengers have the option of being massaged, heated or cooled by their seat whilst watching their own DVDs or listening music.

Starting with two, independently controlled, class leading, 10" high resolution displays and two wireless Bluetooth headsets, each passenger can view their own content, whether it's watching Digital TV or DVDs or listening to music from SD cards, the car's hard drive jukebox or through their individual music devices (using AMI).

To keep track of progress, rear passengers can also view a duplicate of the main navigation screen.

Why should lighting be only functional?

The moment the driver or passenger opens their door a discrete spotlights come on to illuminate their seat. The light is then unfurled through the interior.

Fully customisable, the brightness can be adjusted for four different zones and across 20 dimming stages.

There are three colour schemes; Polar, Ivory or Ruby.

Balao Brown design
The Audi design selection Balao brown combines a unique blend of features, colours and materials to create a truly bespoke, elegant interior.

Comfort seats upholstered in Balao brown Valcona leather and a Snow white accordion pleat, piping and contrasting stitching are only the start of this exclusive package. Snow white Alcantara covers the headlining and parcel shelf perfectly complementing the leather trimmed dashboard.

The finishing touches are a combination of aluminium and fine grain ash in natural Balsamic brown inlays and discrete design selection badges in the doors.

This exclusive package includes ventilation and massage function for front seats, heated front and rear outer seats, 4-zone climate control and electric sunblinds for rear window and rear side windows.

Upholstery
Experiencing real worth
The look, feel and aroma of high-quality leather make an important contribution to the luxurious interior of the Audi A8. Choose between Valcona leather, Natural leather and exclusive Valonea leather which is unique to the Audi A8.

Valonea's distinguishing characteristic is a pure, active breathing surface which is particularly soft and pleasant to the touch. The leather radiates a unique aura reflected by its comforting, warm feel and exquisite, classic leather fragrance.

The name Valonea comes from the tanning process involving exclusively plant-based substances, making it particularly environmentally friendly. It uses the ripe cupules of various Mediterranean species of oak which are harvested mainly from Turkey and Greece from trees growing in the wild. Thanks to the highly natural character of this leather it acquires its own individual, unmistakable patina over time.

Another unique feature of the Valonea leather in the Audi A8 is the additional use of buckskin leather for the head restraints and gear selector lever. Buckskin is a very rare type of leather which is both supple, hard wearing and highly resistant to tearing.

Valonea leather is available with Comfort seats in either Black or Nougat brown.

Keeping you cool
4-zone climate control
To suit the comfort preferences of you and all of your passengers, the Audi A8 can be specified with 4-zone climate control. In addition to the standard 2-zone controls, for front passengers, this advanced system provides two controls in the comfort rear armrest, so everyone can maintain their perfect temperature inside the car, regardless of the temperature outside.

The driver and front passenger also have controls to change the temperature of their footwells, giving complete, unrivalled comfort.

It's the smaller touches which people will remember, such as a glove box cooler or the air humidity sensor keeps the windows clear of condensation.
