Even more powerful, even faster, even more dynamic. The new TT RS plus delivers awe-inspiring performance, with a power-boosted five-cylinder turbo that delivers 360PS and an increased top speed of 174mph.
This new derivative, available in both Coupe and Roadster versions, was first unveiled at the Geneva Motorshow in March. The car gets its UK premiere at the Goodwood Festival of speed this summer and we can now announce UK pricing and specification.
The high-performance 2.5-litre TFSI engine has been boosted to deliver 20PS more power than the standard TT RS. It also produces 465Nm of torque, 15Nm more than before.
The TT RS plus offers an outstanding combination of dynamics and efficiency, accelerating from 0 to 62mph in just 4.1 seconds (Coupe S tronic) yet achieving 33.2mpg.
Top speed is limited to 174mph for all versions. TT RS plus is available with manual six-speed transmission and the seven-speed S tronic.
As well as enhancements to power and performance, TT RS plus also benefits from exclusive exterior design features, including a new single-frame radiator grille with diamond-pattern mesh in highly polished anthracite and trim frame in matt aluminium-look finish. Door mirror housings are made of carbon fibre-reinforced polymer.
TT RS plus also comes with 19-inch Rotor design alloy wheels as standard, giving the exterior of the car an even more distinctive look. The standard wheels are in titanium finish, but aluminium finish or black with red rim finish can be chosen as a no cost option. Previously, black and red wheels were only available on RS 3 - in the TT range they will only be available on TT RS plus.
The dual-branch sport exhaust system has black oval tailpipe trims, with a sound flap that intensifies the sound of the engine.
Under the bonnet, the engine compartment cover is in carbon to give it a more exclusive look.
TT RS plus also gets Technology package as standard, including DVD-based satellite navigation, Bluetooth interface and AMI. Inside the cabin there is a TT RS plus-design gear knob, with aluminium trim and 'plus' badge.
TT RS plus gets the following specification above TT RS:
· Power increase of 20PS, taking output to 360PS
· 19-inch x 9J ,5-arm-Rotor-design Titanium finish alloy wheels with 255/35 R19 tyres
· Aluminium finish or black with red rim finish available as no-cost options
· Single-frame radiator grille with diamond-pattern mesh in highly polished anthracite and trim frame in matt aluminium-look finish
· Technology package, including
· DVD-based satellite navigation
· Bluetooth interface
· Audi music interface (AMI)
· Top speed restriction increased to 174mph
· Carbon design pack for engine bay
· Carbon door mirror housings
· Sports exhaust - oval dual exhaust pipes in matt black
· TT RS plus-design gear knob with aluminium trim and 'plus' badge
TT RS plus has a price premium of £3,085 over TT RS.
With its impressive enhancements in performance and specification, TT RS plus offers a great alternative to the standard TT RS, providing excellent customer value.

Audi is presenting a new concept, the RS Q3, at this year's Auto China show, which takes place from 27 April to 2 May.
This dynamic new concept is based on the popular Q3, and gives our compact SUV thrilling performance and a sharper look, to really explore the potential of the Q3 line.
The RS Q3 concept will be displayed in Ordos blue. Brushed and polished aluminium trim frames the RS Q3 concept's single-frame grille. The honeycombs of the grille are slightly offset to one another, creating a three-dimensional effect.
The lower area of the grille incorporates another new feature - a silver quattro signature. The headlights are slightly tinted and incorporate some darkened chrome parts and carbon fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP).
The bumper has been redesigned to give it more powerful edges around the air intakes. These are divided in two - the inner sections have honeycomb screen inserts and the outer have a smooth funnel shape. The front spoiler is also made of CFRP. The entire lower section of the bumper is coated with blue clear-coat paint.
The blue and black theme is repeated on the trim strips of the doors and sills, and the add-on parts of the wheel housings. The door mirror housings consist of black CFRP. Matt aluminium trim frames the side windows.
The inside gets plenty of light through the glass roof. The dominant colour is cool black, used for the roofliner, floor carpet, floor mats and leather-upholstered instrument panel. The fine nappa leather seats are also predominantly black, with dark blue Alcantara used for contrast on the seat covers.
The CFRP panels also incorporate the blue theme, with blue luminescent glass fibres woven into the panel material. The steering wheel has large control stalks made of CFRP, framed by aluminium accents. Most of the wheel is covered with black velvet leather, which gives a secure grip and repels dirt well. Door panels feature blue Alcantara panels.
The inside door handle has the same perforated, lightweight construction as other RS models. In the tachometer, the usual Arabic characters are replaced with Chinese numbers. RS Q3 badges adorn the instrument cluster, the seatbacks, door sill plates and floor mats.
The styling of the engine compartment continues the sporty theme. A layered-carbon trim panel covers the area around the five-cylinder engine, which sports a red valve cover. Two laterally arranged ventilation screens feed air to the engine. An aluminium housing holds the open sports air filter and the filtered air tube is made of stainless steel.
The RS Q3 features a 2.5 TFSI engine that delivers 265kw of power, which can take the car from 0 to 62mph in just 5.2 seconds, with a top speed of 164mph. The seven-speed S tronic transmission directs the power to a permanent all-wheel drive system.
Although the drive is generally applied to the front wheels, power is redistributed to the rear axle instantaneously via a hydraulic multi-plate clutch with electronic control whenever slip is detected.
