A6 Allroad

Exceptional performance on the road and refinement off it make the new Audi A6 allroad a versatile and stylish all-rounder. The introduction of the latest quattro permanent four-wheel drive system brings even greater agility. From its powerful engine to its rugged and redefined standard suspension, the new A6 allroad is all that a luxury touring car should be.

The go-anywhere Audi A6 allroad quattro is available to test drive from M25 Audi´s centres. Combining on-road refinement with genuine off-road agility, the new A6 allroad quattro, priced from £34,020 OTR, is capable of accelerating from rest to 62mph in 9.3 seconds, can reach a 134mph maximum speed and yet also manages to cover up to 32.5mpg (combined cycle) (A6 allroad quattro 2.7 TDI).

Two diesels – the 2.7 litres and 3.0 litres available from launch.
Two petrol engines – the V6 3.2 FSI is a V6 and the V8 4.2 FSI – are expected in early 2007.
Six-speed manual transmission or tiptronic, also with six speeds quattro permanent four-wheel drive distributes power to all four wheels.

Audi RS 6 Impressive Interior
Inside the RS 6 is impressive, featuring silk nappa leather heated sports seats and racy carbon fibre inlays to emphasise the sporty character of this car. The BOSE® surround sound system is fitted as standard. The RS 6 features a leather-covered RS flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel with gearshift paddles for fast gear change using tiptronic technology.

Powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.0 litre V10 engine, the RS 6 will accelerate from 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds. The six-speed tiptronic automatic transmission will take you to a maximum speed of 155 mph.

A6 Design Features

From the original Audi 100 to the new A6, Audi stay true to the core values of progressive design. Sleek yet spacious, the A6 is a handsome and well-proportioned beauty. At the 2005 World Car Awards, Judge Peter Lyon commented, “Whether inside or out, A6’s design and quality leads the pack. Every inch of that exterior is pure poetry”.


Front styling
A key style feature is the prominent, trapezoidal single-frame grille. Its appearance is complemented by the V-bonnet line, emphasising the power that lies beneath the metal.


Interior
All important functions can be accessed intuitively and ergonomically, allowing the driver to fully engage in the driving experience.

Coupé-style roof
The coupé-style roof is based on the classic proportions of an Audi sports saloon. The roofline’s arc tapers down towards the tail, yet inside there’s plenty of room for five adults to travel in comfort.

Steering wheel

DVD navigation
With a state-of-the-art, faster operating system, a large 6.5” screen and an improved zoom function, the A6 Saloon’s satellite navigation outperforms older CD-based systems. All you need do is decide where you want to go.

Light sensor
Simple but effective: the A6 features a light sensor to switch on low-beam headlights automatically in poor light conditions, such as at dusk or when entering a tunnel.

MMI
Audi’s Multi Media Interface is an intelligent one-point solution to navigation, entertainment, communications and vehicle control. It eliminates the array of switches and buttons that would otherwise be needed and the driver can operate it intuitively without taking his or her eyes off the road.

Rain sensor
The A6 wipers automatically activate when they detect rainfall on the windscreen. The intermittent-wipe interval varies automatically to match the amount of rain.

Advanced key
Advanced key technology combines maximum security with maximum convenience. Doors can be opened or locked without using the car key and the engine can be started at a button on the centre console.

4.2 litre V8 engine
The unique 4.2-litre V8 engine of the Audi A6 is capable of exceptional performance. Overtaking ability is instant across the rev range while fuel consumption is remarkably low.


6-speed tiptronic
The 4.2 V8 and 3.2 V6 FSI® engine versions of the A6 Saloon, utilise the 6-speed tiptronic transmission system, drawing out the engine’s most powerful characteristics and creating the choice of a relaxing or exhilarating drive.


FSI®
Initially designed to help the all-conquering Audi R8 racing cars sweep the board at Le Mans, Direct Injection now finds its way to the A6. Power and fuel efficiency are offered simultaneously thanks to the ability to switch seamlessly between homogenous and direct charge combustion.


Quattro

4-link front suspension
