A new concepts

The Audi Cross Cabriolet quattro®. A concept car that combines the genes of a dynamic soft-top convertible with the all-round qualities of a fully-fledged SUV.

A new classic

Whether the top is up or down, the Audi Cross Cabriolet quattro® makes an impact. Classic Audi Cabriolet hallmarks, such as the elegant fabric hood and aluminium A-pillar surface; the dynamic lines of a sports car; and the presence of an SUV all combine without compromise

Clearly defined and sporty

The longitudinally mounted engine is positioned down the centreline of the car for efficient weight balance. The basic chassis and drivetrain, measuring 4.62 m in length and 1.91 m across, are taken from the current Audi A4 and Audi A5 lines. But that’s where the similarity ends. The SUV-style height of 1.63 m makes an immediate impact. Dynamic lines create a sporty silhouette. Large 21-inch wheels with 265/35 R21 tyres add to the effect from the pronounced styling of the wheel arches.

Lighting Technology

The Cross Cabriolet quattro is the latest Audi to be equipped with innovative lighting technology. All-LED headlights feature the characteristic strip of daytime running lights, plus electronically-controlled swivelling cornering lights.

Innovative hood system

The fabric hood is the trademark of all open-top Audi models. At the touch of a button, it automatically lowers itself in a Z-fold behind the rear seats in just 17 seconds. Convertible design and SUV functionality meet in the short stepped boot lid. Closed, it forms a continuation of the fabric hood’s coupé line. Open, it lifts high enough to provide a surprisingly large space, with the glass rear window automatically lifting at the same time

Space and comfort

The ergonomically designed interior pays attention to the smallest detail. Smooth, soft surfaces and a natural blend of colours create a feeling of space and comfort

Generously spacious

Four spacious, individual seats are equipped with special air vents mounted on the head restraints, reducing turbulence when the hood is down. The seating is upholstered entirely in “White Stone” leather. The large amounts of leg room, shoulder space and headroom are unique for a convertible

The operating concept

Instrument dials are all within reach below the dome-shaped cowl. An integrated LCD colour display sits at the centre. MMI supplies vehicle information via its swivelling flat screen. And the new laptop-style touch pad adds to the intuitive experience: allowing you to easily interact with the map display, for example. It is also capable of recognising and processing commands entered by tracing letters with your finger.

A first in navigation

Google Earth, the interactive, three-dimensional atlas of the world, is now available in-car. For the first time ever, Audi has brought the internet to a built-in navigation system, for user-friendly graphics and a wide range of features. The audio system also benefits from internet connectivity and an innovative music-selection system.

Intuitive: navigation system with Google Earth

The high-resolution display and photorealistic 3D maps provide a new dimension in navigation. ‘Bird’s eye’ views are easy to recognise and rich in detail. There is no longer any need to enter an address by hand. Just click on an image in Google Earth and go. And in the near future, the internet will make it possible for route planning to take account of traffic and weather information.

Individual: internet radio and Bang & Olufsen sound system

Bang & Olufsen lead the way in technical and acoustic sound quality. The Audi Cross Cabriolet quattro® system is no exception. An innovative internet radio provides access to countless radio stations around the world. Rate tracks by the touch of a button and, over time, the system learns which music you prefer.

Innovative: the intercom system

An intercom system removes the need to raise your voice, in particular when driving with the top down. Four microphones pick up the speakers’ voices and relay them at a subtly amplified volume via the vehicle’s audio system. The sound processor filters out background noise to give an extremely natural voice reproduction
